A KENTON POLICE OFFICER IS IN GOOD SPIRITS AFTER GETTING HIT DURING A SHOOTOUT OVER THE WEEKEND


IN NORTHWEST OHIO....A KENTON POLICE OFFICER IS IN GOOD SPIRITS AFTER GETTING HIT DURING A SHOOTOUT OVER THE WEEKEND. OFFICER SKYLAR NEWFER POSED FOR A PICTURE IN THE HOSPITAL WITH A GOOD FRIEND FROM ANOTHER DEPARTMENT, BOTH GIVING A THUMBS UP. ON SUNDAY, INVESTIGATORS UNCOVERED MORE BULLETS FROM GUNFIRE EXCHANGES THAT SPANNED OVER 6 MILES. THE SUSPECT -- STEPHEN DAVIS -- DIED AFTER HE CRASHED DURING THE POLICE CHASE. IT'S NOT CLEAR IF HE WAS SHOT BY A POLICE OFFICER OR HIMSELF. DAVIS WAS A FORMER DOG WARDEN IN HARDIN COUNTY
