THE STATE LEGISLATURE HAS FINISHED WORK ON A BILL TO REMOVE STATE FUNDING FROM PLANNED PARENTHOOD CENTERS IN OHIO, AND HAS SENT IT TO GOVERNOR KASICH FOR HIS SIGNATURE. IN A 59 TO 32 VOTE, WITH MAJORITY REPUBLICAN SUPPORT, THE WOMEN;S HEALTH PROVIDER LOST ONE AND A HALF MILLION DOLLARS IN STATE FUNDING. THE FUNDING WAS NOT FOR ABORTION SERVICES - INSTEAD IT WENT TO INFANT MORTALITY PREVENTION PROGRAMS...  THE HOUSE WILL TAKE THAT MONEY AND HAND OVER A SMALLER PORTION - 250 THOUSAND DOLLARS - TO OTHER INFANT MORTALITY PROGRAMS
