Bloom Center shooter indicted


THE BELLEFONTAIN EXAMINER REPORTS 20 YEAR OLD EVAN HOFFMAN OF BLOOM CENTER HAS BEEN INDICTED BY A LOGAN COUNTY GRAND JURY ON CHARGES INCLUDING NEGLIGENT HOMICIDE, A FIRST-DEGREE MISDEMEANOR, AND FELONIOUS ASSAULT. HOFFMAN SHOT AND KILLED 16 YEAR OLD BRANDON DOSEK EARLY ON SUNDAY DECEMBER 27TH AT AN UNDERAGE DRINKING PARTY. HOFFMAN IS SERVING TIME IN JAIL FOR CHARGES RELATED TO HOSTING THE PARTY. HOFFMAN ALLEGEDLY SHOT DOSEK AFTER DOSEK WAS ASKED TO LEAVE THE PARTY AND THEN RETURNED LATER AND FORCED HIS WAY INTO HOFFMAN'S HOME. HOFFMAN, WHO IS BEING HELD IN THE LOGAN COUNTY JAIL, HAS ALSO BEEN INDICTED ON UNRELATED CHARGES OF UNLAWFUL SEXUAL CONDUCT WITH A MINOR.
