IN CENTRAL OHIO, AUTHORITIES SAY AN ELDERLY HUSBAND AND WIFE WERE FOUND FATALLY SHOT IN THEIR HOME OVER THE WEEKEND


IN CENTRAL OHIO, AUTHORITIES SAY AN ELDERLY HUSBAND AND WIFE WERE FOUND FATALLY SHOT IN THEIR HOME OVER THE WEEKEND. THE LICKING COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE SAYS THE COUPLE'S SON REPORTED FINDING HIS PARENTS' BODIES SATURDAY EVENING IN SEPARATE ROOMS INSIDE THEIR HOME IN PATASKALA, ABOUT 20 MILES EAST OF COLUMBUS. DEPUTIES ARRIVED AT THE HOME AROUND 5:30 P.M. AND DETERMINED 76-YEAR-OLD GENEVA BOWMAN AND 81-YEAR-OLD LONNIE BOWMAN BOTH HAD BEEN SHOT. OFFICIALS SAY AN INITIAL INVESTIGATION SHOWS LONNIE BOWMAN'S WOUNDS WERE SELF-INFLICTED, AND THERE'S NO INDICATION ANYONE ELSE WAS INVOLVED IN THE SHOOTINGS. THE INVESTIGATION IS CONTINUING
