A MAGISTRATE MET TODAY WITH BOTH SIDES FOR A STATUS CONFERENCE. A PROSECUTOR TOLD HER EARLIER THIS MONTH THAT BOTH SIDES WERE DISCUSSING "RESOLUTION OF THIS MATTER," BUT NO AGREEMENT HAS BEEN REACHED YET TO AVOID TRIAL SCHEDULED FOR MAY 31.
