A TRIAL IS SET TO BEGIN THIS MORNING FOR A DRUM MAJOR INSTRUCTOR FOR OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY'S MARCHING BAND WHO'S ACCUSED OF SEXUALLY ASSAULTING A FEMALE STUDENT


A TRIAL IS SET TO BEGIN THIS MORNING FOR A DRUM MAJOR INSTRUCTOR FOR OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY'S MARCHING BAND WHO'S ACCUSED OF SEXUALLY ASSAULTING A FEMALE STUDENT. VALENCIA WICKER HAS MORE ON CHRISTOPHER STEWART KITCHEN, WHO FACES RAPE, AND UNDERAGE ALCOHOL CHARGES.   THIS ALL STEMS FROM A CASE BACK IN APRIL OF LAST YEAR. THAT'S AROUND THE TIME A FRANKLIN COUNTY GRAND JURY INDICTED AN OSU SCHOOL OF MUSIC STAFF MEMBER. 28 YEAR OLD CHRISTOPHER STEWART KITCHEN WAS INDICTED TWO COUNTS OF RAPE, TWO COUNTS OF SEXUAL BATTERY AND ONE COUNT FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH UNDERAGE ALCOHOL LAWS. PROSECUTORS SAY KITCHEN INVITED THE ALLEGED VICTIM TO HAVE DRINKS WITH HIM AND THEN RAPED HER. HE IS SET TO HAVE A COURT HEARING TODAY (9AM). HE'S PLEADED NOT GUILTY. IF CONVICTED HE COULD FACE 20 YEARS IN PRISON.
