EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY REPORT QUESTIONNAIRE

3.  WCSM continues to use a variety of sources whenever a job opening occurs.  Not only do we use our own broadcast media as a means of getting the information out to the public, but we are also very pro-active in searching for qualified candidates.  These efforts include visiting college and university campuses for the purpose of interviewing graduating students entering the work force, and also using on-line web searching through our State Broadcaster's Association (OAB).  Whenever possible we attend are job fairs and career days and periodically check with State for profit broadcasting schools to see what potential cadidates might be available for our interview process.   Finally, we will usually place Help Wanted ads in our local paper and put job openings on our own station website as means of reaching out to potential candidates

Letter from Christine H Merritt President OAB

Thank you for your contibution in selecting recipients of the 2012 Ohio Broadcasters Foundation scholarships.  Your efforts in evaluating the scholarship appliants for the Ohio Broadcaster Scholarship Program and participating in the selection of the scholarshop recipients were greatly appreciated.  As a member of the Scholarship Committee, you may be able to clam FCC EEO credit for your contributions to this  year's scholarship selection process.  The FCC's EEO rules state that participation in scholarship programs designed to assiste students interested in prusuing a career in broadcasting (menu option 7) qualifies for one credit.  We believe, in consultation with OAB's FCC coucsel, Brooks, Pierce, McLendon, Humphrey & Leonard, LLP, that your participation in the scholarship evaluation and selection process atisfies menu option 7.  As always, however, you should consult with your station's communications counsel concerning your station's individual EEO program initiatives.  You may wish to place a copy of this letter in your EEO private file as evidence of your partiipation in the Ohio Broadcasters Foundation Scholarship Program.
