Celina Fire Department responds to a house fire early Tuesday Morning


The Celina Fire Department responded to a house fire early Tuesday Morning at 2104 State Route 703. According to scanner traffic,  The fire was reported in the living room, coming from the fire place. The fire was reported just after Midnight. Firefighters remained on the scene throughout the night. The damage to the structure was extensive. For comments with Celina Fire Chief Joel Lange:

On March 26, 2024, at 0006 hrs., Celina fire units received a report of a structure fire at 2104 St. Rte. 703. Upon arrival heavy fire was noted to the front porch and extending into the attic space. Crews used a transitional attach knocking down the fire on the porch while advancing through the front door into the front living area. The fire was quickly under control with a single hand line. The homeowners were alerted by smoke detectors and were able to exit the residence safely along with their two dogs prior to our arrival. Coldwater FD was requested to assist with salvage and overhaul, and the State Fire Marshal was contacted to assist with the investigation. The Red Cross was notified as well and was reaching out to the homeowners. The cause is still under investigation at this time.
