This week, 31 year old Thomas Lampy of Van Wert was sentenced to 6 to 9 years in prison for his role in the drug related death of 29 year old Courtney Trammel in March of 2023. Lampy was sentenced to 6 to 9 years in prison by Van Wert County Common Pleas Court Judge Martin Burchfield for a 2nd degree felony charge of corrupting another with drugs. Lampy agreed to a plea bargain last month where he pleaded guilty to this charge in exchange for a 1st degree felony charge of involuntary manslaughter being dismissed.
