The Noble Township Zoning Commission had voted to rezone just over 140 acres of farmland for a new Stone Quarry in the 16000 block of County Road 66-A. This new quarry would be within 4 miles of the current ConAg stone quarry. Residents have expressed concern over blasting disturbances associated with a new stone quarry. The zoning commission voted 3 to 1 to recommend the rezoning application to the Noble Township trustees. The trustees have 30 days to hold a public hearing before they can vote on the request.The Noble Township trustees will hold their meeting on Monday April 15th at the Noble Township Community Park at 16493 Saint Marys River Road.
