According to radio traffic, Midwest Elastomers at 700 Industrial Drive in Wapakoneta caught fire Thursday just after 5:30 pm. Several fire departments responded to the scene. The fire was reported to have started in a heater on the roof. According to an eyewitness, crews remained on the scene after the fire was extinguished to put out hotspots. The extent of damage and the cause of the fire is not known at this time.
