A barn was a total loss after a fire Sunday at 3510 Lange Road. According to scanner traffic, firefighters were able to prevent a second nearby barn from catching on fire. The St Henry Fire Department was assisted by Southwest Mercer, Burkettsville, Coldwater, Chickasaw, Montezuma, North Star and Osgood firefighters. In addition to the barn, equipment inside the barn was also destroyed. No one was injured. The cause of the fire is not known at this time. Firefighters remained on the scene from approximately 4  to 8:30 pm.
