Our office is sharing information about disaster assistance from the March 14, 2024 Storms. (please note that this is not for the May 7, 2024 Storm) This information came from the Ohio Emergency Management Agency.

 

 

A Presidential Disaster Declaration has been issued for the FEMA Individual Assistance Program as a result of tornadoes on March 14, 2024 and covers Auglaize, Crawford, Darke, Delaware, Hancock, Licking, Logan, Mercer, Miami, Richland, and Union counties.

This federal assistance will supplement the local and state recovery efforts, which are ongoing,” said Ohio Emergency Management Agency Executive Director Sima Merick. “It will provide assistance directly to homeowners, renters, and businesses affected by these storms."

 

Individuals and business owners who sustained losses in the designated areas due to the March 14, 2024 storms can begin applying for assistance by calling 1-800-621-3362, by registering online at www.DisasterAssistance.gov, or by using the FEMA App.

 

Attached to this release is the fact sheet outlining FEMA Individual Assistance programs. If you were affected by the March 14, 2024 Storm either call 1-800-621-3362 or register online at www.DisasterAssistance.gov, or use the FEMA App. This information was also shared on the Mercer County Emergency Management Agency Facebook page.

 

If your property was affected by either the March 14, 2024 or the May 7, 2024 Storms, contact the Mercer County Auditors Office or Website and complete form DTE 26 for property tax adjustments.
