70 year old Craig Junod, of Mendon, was sentenced to over 11 years in prison on one count of aggravated possession of drugs and two counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor or impaired person. The sentence came down Tuesday in Mercer County Common Pleas Court. In 2023, The Mercer County Sheriff’s Office received a complaint from the Internet Crimes Against Children. The Sheriff’s office executed a search warrant at Junod’s house located in the 7700 block of Denny Road in Mendon. Electronic devices and suspected methamphetamine was seized from the house during the search warrant. Junod was originally charged with rape, possession of drugs and 150 counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor or impaired person, which were reduced as part of a plea agreement.
