King Awarded Fellowship to Attend Midwestern Leadership Institute

COLUMBUS – State Representative Angie King (R-Celina) will be heading to Madison, Wisc. to participate in the Bowhay Institute for Legislative Leadership Development program. The Bowhay Institute is one of the premier leadership training programs in the nation and selects their participants through a competitive, nonpartisan selection process.

“I’m honored and excited to be attending this year’s BILLD program to help improve my legislative knowledge and skill to better serve the people of the 84th House District,” King said.

The program helps newer legislators develop the skills necessary to become effective leaders, informed decision-makers and astute policy analysts. The annual program offers a unique opportunity for lawmakers to improve their leadership skills and explore the issues of the day with nationally renowned scholars, professional development experts, and legislative leaders and colleagues from around the Midwest.

A program of the Council of State Governments' Midwestern Office, the 2025 BILLD program will include courses and seminars conducted by policy experts, midwestern legislative leaders, and professional development trainers.

King is serving her second term in the House of Representatives, serving the people of the 84th House District.
