State patrol investigating injury accident in Auglaize County today

Two-vehicle injury crash on US Route 33 in Auglaize County

Wapakoneta — The Wapakoneta Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle injury crash that occurred on June 1 3, 2025, at approximately 3: 1 9 p.m. in Auglaize County, Ohio. The crash occurred on US Route 33 at Townline Kossuth Road.

William L. Myers, age 8 1, of Saint Marys, Ohio was operating a 2002 Lincoln

Continental. Brian W. McDonald, age 46, of Battle Creek, Michigan was operating a 2015 Nissan Pathfinder. Tiffany C. McDonald, age 47, and Anahlea C. McDonald, age 9, both of Battle Creek, Michigan were passengers in the Nissan.

The preliminary investigation indicates the Lincoln was northbound on Townline Kossuth Road and the Nissan was westbound on US Route 33. The Lincoln failed to yield the right of way at the intersection and was struck by the Nissan. Both vehicles then slid off of the right side of US Route 33 westbound and struck multiple traffic signs. The Nissan overturned onto its top.

Myers was wearing a safety belt. He sustained serious injuries and was transported to Saint Rita's Medical Center by Saint Marys EMS. All of the occupants in the Nissan were wearing safety belts. Tiffany C. McDonald was transported to Lima Memorial Hospital by Saint Marys EMS.

The Saint Mary's Police Department, Saint Marys Fire Department, and Ohio Department of Transportation also responded to the crash.

Alcohol and drugs are not suspected to be factors in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation by the Wapakoneta Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
