39 year old Ryan Houser of Rockford has been sentenced to 15 years to life in prison for shooting and killing Barbara Ganger in September of 2023 in Van Wert. Houser was sentenced this week in Van Wert County Common Pleas Court by Judge Martin Burchfield. Houser pleaded no contest to murder earlier this year in exchange for other charges being dropped. Houser tried to withdraw his plea but was denied. Houser plans to appeal his sentence.
