On June 30, 2025 at approximately 7:27p.m. Darke County Sheriff’s Deputies along with Gettysburg Fire and Rescue responded to the 8000 Block of Martin Road in reference to a two-vehicle accident with injury.

 

 Preliminary investigation revealed that an Orange 2021 KTM 85cc Dirt bike, driven by a Juvenile, was traveling south on Martin road. A Green 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe, driven by Adam Bucklew (50), of Greenville, Ohio, was traveling north on Martin road. The juvenile failed to negotiate a curve, traveling into the opposite lane of travel, causing the two vehicles to collide.

 

The Juvenile was transported to Wayne Hospital, then later transferred to Dayton Children’s Hospital to be treated for his non-life-threatening injuries. Mr. Bucklew was uninjured as a result of this accident.  

 This accident remains under investigation.
