Citing errors at trial, the Ohio Third District Court of Appeals has reversed the  convictions of a Lima man last year on sex-related chargesin Auglaize County and remanded the case back to Auglaize County Common Pleas Court for a retrial. In 2024, 25 year old Matthew Risch was convicted and sentenced to 13 years in prison for gross sexual imposition, disseminating matter harmful to a juvenile and public indecency. The appeals court mentioned errors by the defense counsel and the trial court. A pre-trial in this new case is set for September 9th.
