St Marys man arrested for pandering obscenity and other charges
43 year old Robert Vogel of St Marys was arrested Friday on several charges of pandering obsecnity involving a minor, disrupting public service and offenses involving underage persons. According to the Vogel Dynamics website, Vogel is a professional marksman, competition shooter, and a National and World Champion. He also is a former Kenton Law Enforcement Officer who spent over eight years as a full-time street cop and a SWAT team member and is the only Law Enforcement Officer to win both World and National Championships in the Practical Pistol Disciplines of IPSC, USPSA and IDPA.

WAPAKONETA, OH — The Auglaize County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of Robert Gordon Vogel, 43, in connection with an investigation involving minors and an adult.
On February 7, 2025, deputies responded to a report of a fight at a residence north of St. Marys. During the initial response, deputies uncovered evidence suggesting the possible involvement of alcohol and/or drugs with juveniles. A months-long investigation followed, ultimately leading to Vogel’s arrest on August 8, 2025.
Vogel was taken to the Auglaize County Corrections Center and faces the following charges:
Pandering Obscenity Involving a Minor (O.R.C. 2907.321(A)(1)) – 1 count, Felony 2nd Degree
Pandering Obscenity Involving a Minor (O.R.C. 2907.321(A)(3)) – 1 count, Felony 2nd Degree
Pandering Obscenity Involving a Minor (O.R.C. 2907.321(A)(5)) – 1 count, Felony 4th Degree
Disrupting Public Service (O.R.C. 2909.04(A)(1)) – 1 count, Felony 4th Degree
Furnishing to Underage Persons (O.R.C. 4301.69(A)) – 2 counts, Unclassified Misdemeanor
Vogel is currently being held on a $250,000 bond (10% permitted).
The Auglaize County Sheriff’s Office has stated that the investigation remains ongoing and no further comments will be provided at this time.
