Minster Board of Education Overview- August 18, 2025
The Minster Board of Education met for their regular monthly meeting Monday evening.
Donations
The Board voted to approve accepting the following donations:
●​ $4000 from Robert Schnabel for the softball program.
●​ $350 from the Minster Journeyman’s Club for HS PBIS.
●​ 100 first aid kits and 100 tourniquets for District Crisis Bags and a monetary donation for
first aid equipment from Mercer Health.
●​ Personal hygiene kits, clinic clothing and water bottles from the St. Augustine Mission
Commission for student wellness.

Superintendent’s Report
Superintendent Josh Meyer provided the Board with demographic information for the 2025-2026
school year, including enrollment numbers. Mr. Meyer’s full report can be found here:

K-6 Principal’s Report
Elementary Principal Mrs. Mandy Albers provided the elementary report. Mrs. Albers provided
the Board with student achievement data and updated the Board on curriculum and instruction
within the elementary.

7-12 Principal’s Report
7-12 Principal Mr. Austin Kaylor shared the Jr/Sr High School update with the Board. He
provided the Board with Advanced Placement test scores and program specific enrollment
numbers for the high school.

Curriculum and Instruction
Treasurer’s Report
Treasurer Gina Selby provided the Board with her monthly report. Mrs. Selby updated income
tax receipts, informed the Board that all temporary advances from FY 25 have been reversed
and updated the Board on federal grants awarded to the District. She also provided the Board
with a budget performance update and modified appropriations as needed.

Superintendent’s Consent Agenda
During the Superintendent’s Consent Agenda portion of the meeting the Minster Board
approved the following:
●​ Nutritional compliance report
●​ Reimbursement to Jill Sudhoff for completion of CCP credentialing coursework through
an ODEW grant
●​ 6th grade trip to Camp Willson
●​ FFA trip to the National Convention
●​ 8th grade trip to Washington DC
●​ Ala Carte pricing for the 2025-2026 school year
New Business
In new business the Minster Board approved the following items:

Approved an MOU with Key to Recovery Services
Appointed a delegate and an alternate to the OSBA Annual Business Meeting
Approved Tri Star Advisory Referral #138 for the purchase of a CNC Lathe
Approved payment in lieu of transportation

The Board set September 10 at 7 PM in the Large Group Room as the time for their next
monthly meeting.
Personnel Recommendations
The Board approved the following Personnel Recommendations:
●​ Accepted the substitute teacher list from the Auglaize County ESC.
●​ Rescinded extended service days for Leah Ketner, Elementary Guidance.
●​ Offered Leah Ketner 8 extended service days for the 2025-2026 school year.
●​ Approved a number of substitute classified employees.
●​ Approved a number of extracurricular and supplemental contracts.

Executive Session
The Board of Education entered into Executive Session to discuss the employment and
compensation of a public employee and the purchase or sale of property. No action was taken
after the Executive Session.
