This week, the Mercer County Board of Elections certified petitions for candidates to run in this year's general election. 5 however, were disqualified. Board of Elections Director Kristi Rable explains.

Those who will not be able to run are Mercer County Educational Service Center board member Tess Mescher, Marion Local School board member Jesse Rose and Coldwater School board president Jim Miller and board member Greg Bruns. Cary Miller will not be able to run for Rockford Village Council.
