The Mercer County ESC is having their annual Mercer County Professional Learning Conference on October 6th at New Bremen Schools. There will be roughly 1200 teachers there from the following districts: Celina, Coldwater, Fort Recovery, Marion Local, Parkway, St. Henry, St. Marys, New Bremen, Minster, Waynesfield Goshen, New Knoxville, Lincolnview, and Versailles.
We are having Gerry Brooks as our keynote. He's a viral educator known for his lighthearted videos about the state of education. He has almost 200,000 subscribers on Youtube, and our teachers are very excited to see him.
Here is the schedule for the day:
8:15: Doors Open
8:45-10:15: Keynote with Gerry Brooks
10:30-11:15: Breakout Sessions (featuring presentations from over 80 local educators and educational professionals)
11:15-11:55: Lunch - Wellness - Student Panel (featuring students from those districts)
12:00-12:40: another lunch rotation
12:45-1:25: another lunch rotation
1:30-2:15: Breakout sessions.
