Mercer County District Library Hosts Halloween Costume Swap
Celina, OH — September 22, 2025 — The Mercer County District Library invites the community to join in the fun and savings at its upcoming Halloween Costume Swap. This free event offers families and individuals the chance to find a new-to-them costume without the cost of buying new.
How it works:
Donation Drop-Off: September 22 – October 7
Donations of gently used costumes and accessories of any size or age range will be accepted at the library. Staff will collect items at the main library in Celina during all normal library hours.
Shopping Day: October 11
All are welcome to browse and select costumes from the donated items. There is no cost to participate, and no donation is required to shop. Participants may also bring items to trade or donate on the day of the event.
After the event, any leftover costumes will be donated to local organizations such as Goodwill.
“This is a great way for families to save money, recycle costumes, and spread a little Halloween cheer,” said Emma Fischer, Adult Services Specialist. “We’re excited to host a fun and community-minded event open to all ages.”
