DIABETIC SUPPORT GROUP OFFERED

The Diabetic Support Group will meet on Monday evening, October 13 at 6:30 p.m. in the Grand Lake Medical Office Building, Suite D at 1140 S. Knoxville Ave., in St. Marys.  The day-time meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 14, at 10:00 am, at the Grand Lake Medical Office Building. 

The program for October is titled Added Sugars and Artificial Sweeteners.  This session will focus on the importance of reducing added sugars.   We will also review non-nutritive sweeteners, including artificial sweeteners, plant-based sweeteners and sugar alcohols.  Krissy Mullenhour, RN, BSN, CDCES, Diabetes Education Coordinator, will be presenting.
