Kristina Morris announces her Republican candidacy for the Auglaize County Common Pleas Court

Kristina Morris has officially announced her Republican candidacy for the Auglaize County Common Pleas Court, which includes the Domestic Relations, Juvenile, and Probate Divisions. Kristina Morris seeks to follow the distinguished Judge Mark E. Spees, who is unable to seek reelection due to judicial age restrictions.
Kristina Morris has extensive legal experience in every division of the Auglaize County Common Pleas Court. For more than a decade in private practice, Kristina Morris guided families through divorce and custody matters, advocated for the best interests of children in juvenile cases, handled guardianship and adoption proceedings, handled complex trust litigation, and assisted individuals in probate matters.
As an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for Shelby County, she prosecuted abuse, dependency, and neglect cases, as well as juvenile delinquency matters. For the past six years, Kristina Morris has been employed as the Magistrate for the Shelby County Common Pleas Court, where she presides daily over all domestic relations cases. Kristina Morris has dedicated her 18-year legal career to deeply understanding the law to serve families and children in our communities.
As a judicial candidate and a current Magistrate in a Common Pleas Court, Kristina Morris brings to Auglaize County:
- proven experience with nearly two decades of hands-on practice in domestic relations, juvenile, and probate matters;
- balanced judgmentby making fair, principled decisions rooted in the law and the facts;
- commitment to families withdedication to protecting children, strengthening families, and upholding the dignity of every individual who enters the courtroom; and
- integrity and accountability with the ability to apply the law impartially, treat all parties with respect, and ensure transparency in every court proceeding.

Kristina Morris lives in New Bremen with her family. Kristina Morris was born in St. Marys, Ohio, attended Holy Rosary School, and graduated from New Bremen High School in 1998. Kristina Morris graduated from the University of Cincinnati, spent a year as a teacher, and obtained her law degree from the University of Dayton.
Kristina Morris currently serves as the 3rd Appellate District Representative, representing all magistrates for 17 Ohio counties. Kristina Morris also currently assists the Ohio Supreme Court Judicial College in education planning for Ohio's magistrates. When not in the courtroom, Kristina Morris can be found painting by the lake and at local sporting events.
