CELINA — A Mercer County grand jury has indicted a Celina man on multiple charges following an incident earlier this month.
According to court records from the Mercer County Clerk of Courts, 33-year-old Kyle R. Poplaski was indicted on three counts: one count of Escape, a third-degree felony; one count of Assault, a first-degree misdemeanor; and one count of Resisting Arrest, a second-degree misdemeanor.
The indictment alleges that on or about October 8, 2025, Poplaski broke or attempted to break detention while knowing he was under lawful custody. He is also accused of causing or attempting to cause physical harm to another person and resisting or interfering with a lawful arrest.
The charges were filed by Mercer County Prosecutor Erin M. Minor, and the indictment was returned as a true bill on October 16, 2025.
The case will proceed in the Mercer County Court of Common Pleas.
