Former Basketball Coach faces Drug Charges
44 year old Jordan Blackburn, the former head basketball coach at St Marys Memorial High School has been ndicted on felony charges related to the alleged sale of dangerous drugs in Auglaize County.
According to court records, Blackburn was indicted on October 16 on two fourth-degree felony counts of selling a dangerous drug. The alleged offenses occurred on September 26th and September 29th of this year.
Blackburn entered not guilty pleas to both counts during an arraignment held Monday October 20th in Auglaize County Common Pleas Court. Blackburn was released on his own recognizance with several bond conditions, including restrictions on drug and alcohol use.
Blackburn’s resignation came less than a week after a Memorial High School student filed a complaint with the St. Marys Police Department. Blackburn had been placed on administrative leave prior to stepping down.
A pretrial hearing in the case is scheduled for December 15th before Judge Frederick Pepple.
