St. Marys City Council to Consider Helmet Law, Flood Damage Plan and Fee Changes Monday
The St. Marys City Council will meet Monday evening with several key ordinances on the agenda.
Council will hear second readings on measures that include a new bicycle helmet requirement for anyone under 18 operating or riding on a bike, e-bike, or low-speed device, as well as a flood damage reduction plan and an update to the Auglaize County Solid Waste Management District’s plan.
New legislation up for first reading includes an ordinance to adjust zoning and subdivision fees, a measure to appropriate additional funds for 2025, and a proposal to renew the city’s Efficiency Smart program with American Municipal Power.
A resolution will also address the city’s authority over naming and addressing within city limits.
The meeting begins with roll call, prayer, and the pledge, followed by reports from the auditor, treasurer, and public service and safety director.
The session is open to the public at St. Marys City Hall.
