The Mercer County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society will hold its November 9^th, 2025 meeting at the Richardson Bretz Building at 119 West Fulton Street, Celina. The meeting will begin at 2:00 p.m. and this meeting speaker will be Darke native, publisher and Mercer County Museum Director Caitlyn Clark who will give a presentation on St. Clair’s Defeat. This battle took place in Fort Recovery, Ohio. To this day, it still is the worst defeat against the United States Army by Native American forces. Please come and hear the interesting piece of Mercer County history.
