FORT RECOVERY HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCES 2026 ATHLETIC HALL OF FAME INDUCTEE
FORT RECOVERY, OH — The Fort Recovery High School Athletic Hall of Fame will welcome one new member to its 2026 induction class. The induction ceremony will take place Saturday, January 3, 2026, between the JV and Varsity Boys’ Basketball games. JV tip-off is set for 4:30 p.m. against Botkins.
The new inductee will join 49 previous honorees who have been selected since the Hall of Fame was established in 2007. The 2026 inductee is:
Will Homan played a major role on Fort Recovery’s football and baseball teams and went on to become one of the most decorated athletes in school history.
Earned 3 varsity letters
Two-time All-Ohio selection
Fort Recovery’s all-time leader in rushing yards (5,384)
All-time leading scorer (400 points)
First in touchdowns (59)
Holds the single-game rushing record (405 yards)
Senior-year honors included:
First Team All-MAC
MAC Offensive Player of the Year
Division VII First Team All-Ohio
Division VII Offensive Player of the Year
Team MVP and Best Offensive Player as a junior and senior
Key contributor to the 2015 State Football Championship Team
Earned 3 varsity letters
All-MAC Second Team as a junior
Best Defensive Player as a junior and senior
Member of the 2014 and 2015 State Final Four teams
After graduating in 2018, Will continued his football career at the University of St. Francis in Fort Wayne.
Will and his wife, Kendra, live in Fort Recovery with their children, James and Sadie. He works as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department at IU Health Jay and continues to serve the community as a member of the Fort Recovery football coaching staff.
