Celina — Fishing tips and prize giveaways highlighted the March meeting of the Lake Improvement Association focused on Grand Lake St. Marys.

During the program, professional angler Matt Tuttle spoke with members about crappie fishing techniques and equipment. The presentation included discussion of specialized gear such as heavier three-dimensional bobbers that can help anglers better control their line and presentation.

Following the talk, attendees participated in prize drawings that included fishing gear and apparel. One of the items awarded was a 10-foot Outlaw crappie pole, along with several Matt Tuttle fishing hats.

Meeting organizers also noted strong participation from members during the event, with a large turnout and strong support for activities held during the gathering.

The Lake Improvement Association holds regular meetings and programs aimed at supporting the health of Grand Lake St. Marys while also promoting recreation and community involvement around the lake.
