Minster Board of Education Overview- March 16, 2026
The Minster Board of Education met for their monthly meeting Monday evening.
Donations
The Board accepted the following donations:
● $100 from an anonymous donor for the HS Juggling Club.
● $7800 from Globus Printing and Packaging Company for Elementary Book Fair Teacher
Gift Cards
● $1,500 from the Minster Community Fund to support the Positive Peer Advocates “Get
Schooled” program.
Board Recognition of Students
Superintendent’s Report
Superintendent Josh Meyer shared an update on upcoming maintenance and technology
projects with the Board. He also provided the Board with an overview of education items from
Gov. DeWine’s State of the State address. Mr. Meyer’s full report can be found here:

K-6 Principal’s Report
Elementary Principal Mrs. Mandy Albers shared the elementary report. Mrs. Albers
congratulated Leah Kremer and Alayna Hoelscher on their performances at the “God, Flag and
Country” competition. She also updated the Board on the upcoming Open House, shared the
state testing schedule with the Board, and noted that Kindergarten screening is set for March
30-31.

7-12 Principal’s Report
7-12 Principal Mr. Austin Kaylor shared the Jr/Sr High School update with the Board. He
informed the Board that Annie Hemmelgarn, daughter of Kate and Randy Hemmelgarn, has
been selected as the Minster High School representative for the Franklin B. Walter Award and
that Annie has selected Mrs. Marianne Bruns as her honored educator. Mr. Kaylor shared the
CATS of the Month with the Board, provided a recap of winter athletics and congratulated the
FFA officers that have been named for next school year. He also shared the state testing
schedule with the Board.

Curriculum and Instruction
High School Science Teacher Mrs. Marianne Bruns presented information to the Board about
the Minster High School Dirt Club. The Dirt Club has 23 members and is involved in numerous
gardening and outdoor activities, including planting sunflowers and trees at Lake Loramie State
Park and maintaining the flower beds around the campus.
Treasurer’s Report
Treasurer Gina Selby provided the Board with her monthly report. Mrs. Selby informed the
Board of transfers to cover land acquisition expenses, a modification of appropriations for the
cafeteria fund and a transfer to the Chromebook PI fund.

Superintendent’s Consent Agenda
During the Superintendent’s Consent Agenda portion of the meeting the Minster Board
approved the following:
● An MOU with Edison State Community College for the College Credit Plus program.
● Recognized the winter sports teams for their performances
● Approved a request for FFA to attend the Washington DC Leadership Conference June
2-5, 2026.
● Approved a resolution authorizing membership in the Ohio High School Athletic
Association.
New Business
In new business the Minster Board approved the following items:
● Tri Star Referral #140
● Adopted the NIST Cybersecurity Framework
● Approved a first reading of numerous policy updates
The Board set April 29 at 7 PM in the Large Group Room as the time for their next monthly
meeting.
Personnel Recommendations
The Board approved the following Personnel Recommendations:
● Accepted the resignation of Natalie Leatherman- HS Spanish Teacher and Asst.
Volleyball Coach- effective at the end of the current school year.
● Accepted the resignation of Rachel Kremer- 2nd grade teacher- effective at the end of
the 2025/2026 school year.
● Offered limited 1 year contracts beginning in the 2026/2027 school year to:
○ Dietra Page- HS Intervention Specialist
○ Courtney Imwalle- 2nd grade teacher
○ Brittany Treon- 2nd grade teacher
● Offered limited 1 year contracts for this school year to:
○ Tim Jay- Groundskeeper Melcher St. Park
○ Mike Wiss- Recreation Field Manager
The Board approved the following Supplemental contracts:
● Jessica Poeppelman- Asst. Boys and Girls Track Coach
● John Inskeep- Volunteer Softball
● Rebecca Baumer- Track
● Craig Lehmkuhl- HS Asst. Football
● Valeria Garner- Freshman Volleyball

Executive Session
The Board of Education entered into Executive Session to discuss the employment and
compensation of a public employee, to consider details relative to the district’s security
arrangements and emergency response protocols, and the purchase or sale of property. No
action was taken after the Executive Session
