Mercer County Students to Attend 2026 Mock Crash Program Focused on Safe Driving

Celina, Ohio — Mercer County Sheriff Doug Timmerman announces that the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office, in partnership with students from Fort Recovery High School’s SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) organization, and in cooperation with numerous public safety agencies, will present a Mock Crash Program.

 

This program will be presented to junior and senior students from all six Mercer County high schools. The objective is to provide an impactful and realistic portrayal of the consequences of impaired and distracted driving, as well as to emphasize the importance of seat belt use.

 

The 2026 Mock Crash Program will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at the Mercer County Fairgrounds Grandstands. The program will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. and is expected to conclude by 11:00 a.m.
