NEW BREMEN ELEMENTARY EARNS OHIO BLUE RIBBON DESIGNATION

NEW BREMEN, Ohio — New Bremen Elementary School has been recognized by the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce as one of the state’s 2025 Blue Ribbon award winners.

The Blue Ribbon Award highlights schools that show exceptional academic excellence and strong student outcomes. According to the state, the honor recognizes schools with strong leadership, effective instruction, data driven practices, and meaningful collaboration with families and communities.

State officials selected 14 public schools across Ohio for the 2025 designation. New Bremen Elementary was the only school from this area to make the list.

The Ohio Department of Education and Workforce says at least one third of this year’s Blue Ribbon schools serve student populations where 40 percent or more of students are economically disadvantaged.

The award is meant to spotlight schools that are creating environments where all students can succeed.
