Celina Council Approves Park Leases, Advances Bee Ordinance
CELINA — Jeff Hazel says a brief Celina City Council meeting focused on park use agreements and a final step for a new ordinance.
Council approved two lease agreements for activities at Eastview Park. One involves a nursery support group that will use space at the park beginning in early June for programming involving area children.
A second lease agreement allows for a breast cancer awareness display later this fall. Plans call for the placement of a traditional ribbon on the sledding hill at Eastview Park to promote awareness and encourage women to get mammograms during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Council also passed the third reading of a new ordinance allowing beekeeping within the city. The measure will take effect in 30 days.
