Yarger And Wermer Win Van Wert County Republican Primary Races

Final unofficial results from the Van Wert County Board of Elections show two Republican primary races decided in Van Wert County.

In the race for Van Wert County Juvenile and Probate Court Judge, Eva Yarger defeated Todd Wolfrum by a vote of 2,177 to 1,995.

Yarger, who previously served as Van Wert County Prosecutor, was appointed by Governor Mike DeWine earlier this year to fill the seat formerly held by Judge Kevin H. Taylor, who retired at the end of 2025.

Yarger will be unopposed in the fall and will begin a new six year term early next year.

In the race for Van Wert County Auditor, Republican challenger Arica Wermer defeated incumbent Jami Bradford by a vote of 2,437 to 1,582.

Bradford was seeking a second term in office. Wermer, who was making her first run for public office, will not face opposition in the fall and is set to take office in January of 2027.
