Minster Superintendent Thanks Community Following Renewal Levy Passage

Minster Local Schools Superintendent Josh Meyer is thanking voters following the passage of the district’s renewal levy.

Meyer said he was pleased with the community’s continued support for Minster students and staff. He said voters recognized the importance of the levy and the role it plays in helping the district maintain and improve its facilities.

According to ballot language from the Auglaize County Board of Elections, the issue was a renewal tax levy for the benefit of Minster Local School District for permanent improvements. The money can be used to improve and maintain sites, remodel and repair facilities, and acquire and replace equipment. The levy is expected to collect $90,423 annually at a rate not exceeding 1.05 mills, which amounts to about $12 for each $100,000 of the county auditor’s market value. The renewal is for five years, beginning in 2026, with first collection due in calendar year 2027.

Meyer said the money will be used for needs around the school campus, including buses, parking lots, windows, HVAC equipment, technology upgrades, and other permanent improvement projects.

He said the funding will be put to good use and will have a positive impact on how the district operates.

Meyer thanked voters for their continued support of Minster Local Schools.
