Logan County Woman Found Dead in Pond Near Zanesfield

A 63-year-old Logan County woman was found dead in a pond Tuesday night after deputies responded to a report of a missing person.

According to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to 7782 State Route 559 in Zanesfield at approximately 9:56 p.m. Tuesday, August 18.

Deputies searched a pond on the property and located the missing woman in the water.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene and was identified as Marianne R. Saxton, 63, of that address.

The Logan County Sheriff’s Office says deputies are continuing to investigate the incident.
