Mercer Health receives Ohio Auditor of State Award
Mercer Health’s Mercer County Joint Township Community Hospital recently received the Auditor of State Award from Keith Faber, Auditor of State of Ohio, based upon its recent completed financial audit.
The Auditor of State Award is presented to entities that file financial reports with the Auditor of State’s Office by the statutory due date, without extension, via the Hinkle System on the GAAP accounting basis and receive a “clean” audit report by meeting the following criteria:
“By keeping accurate financial records, governing bodies demonstrate their commitment to efficient, effective, and transparent service,” a press release from the office of the Ohio Auditor of State, Keith Faber, indicates. “This award honors public entities that have put in the hard work to keep their finances in order.”
“Approximately only 5% of the entities that are audited by Ohio’s Auditor of State office receive a clean audit award. Our accounting team’s precision and our organization’s commitment to responsible financial stewardship make achievements like this possible,” states Cory Albers, Mercer Health Chief Financial Officer.
