Auglaize County OVI Checkpoint Results in No Arrests After Contact With 224 Drivers

WAPAKONETA, Ohio — An OVI checkpoint in Auglaize County resulted in no arrests Saturday evening, August 29, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Troopers worked with the Wapakoneta Police Department to conduct the checkpoint on County Road 25A, just north of State Route 67.

Authorities made contact with 224 drivers during the operation. No vehicles were diverted for additional screening, and no arrests were made.

The Ohio Department of Transportation also assisted with the checkpoint.

The Patrol reminds motorists to report suspected impaired or reckless drivers by calling #677, which connects callers directly to the nearest Ohio State Highway Patrol post.
