Six Defendants Receive Sentences or Treatment Orders in Mercer County Court

Six defendants have received prison terms, community-control sanctions or treatment-related orders in Mercer County Common Pleas Court.

Court records show Michael Espinosa was sentenced to 15 months in prison for felony failure to appear. The sentence will be served consecutively to another prison term.

Craig Kaiser was placed on community control for five years in a felony domestic violence case.

Christopher Lessing was sentenced to eight months in prison. The term will run concurrently with the sentence he is currently serving.

Michael Slusser was placed on community control and ordered to serve 180 days of residential sanctions. He received credit for 87 days already served.

Elisabeth Edwards was granted intervention in lieu of conviction in a felony drug-possession case. She will participate in drug court as part of the program. Intervention in lieu of conviction allows an eligible defendant to receive treatment while the criminal case remains pending.

Amy StHilaire was ordered to serve 180 days of residential sanctions, with credit for 50 days already served. StHilaire previously pleaded guilty to fifth-degree felony aggravated possession of drugs following a Celina traffic stop in which authorities reported finding methamphetamine in her purse.

The dispositions were confirmed through Mercer County Common Pleas Court records and information released by the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office.
