Elias Good Sentenced to Five Years in Auglaize County Drug Cases

A 31-year-old man has been sentenced to a total of five years in prison following his convictions on two methamphetamine-trafficking charges in Auglaize County.

Court records show Elias Alan Good waived his right to have the case presented to a grand jury and pleaded guilty September 16 to two counts of trafficking in drugs.

The first charge, a fourth-degree felony, involved the sale or offer to sell methamphetamine on April 20. The second charge, a third-degree felony, involved an amount equaling or exceeding the bulk amount but totaling less than five times the bulk amount on May 7.

Auglaize County Common Pleas Court Judge Frederick Pepple sentenced Good to 12 months on the first count and 24 months on the second. Those terms will be served consecutively to each other and consecutively to Good’s sentence in a separate Auglaize County case, resulting in a total stated prison term of 60 months.

The sentence followed a joint recommendation from the prosecution and defense.

The court did not impose a fine after finding Good indigent, but assessed court costs. Good may also be subject to up to two years of post-release control after leaving prison.
