A Celina man is scheduled to return to Mercer County Common Pleas Court Thursday on felony drug and domestic violence charges.

Michael J. Wilson Jr. is charged in case 26-CRM-115 with aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony; domestic violence, a third-degree felony; and a second domestic violence count classified as a first-degree misdemeanor.

According to a complaint filed in Mercer County Common Pleas Court, the alleged offenses occurred on or about September 24.

The drug charge alleges Wilson knowingly possessed or used methamphetamine, a Schedule II controlled substance. wilson

The third-degree felony domestic violence count alleges Wilson knowingly caused or attempted to cause physical harm to a family or household member.

Court records state that charge is elevated because Wilson has two previous domestic violence convictions.

The complaint lists a February 2017 domestic violence conviction in Celina Municipal Court and a January 2018 felony domestic violence conviction in Auglaize County Common Pleas Court. wilson

A separate misdemeanor domestic violence charge alleges Wilson threatened another family or household member with imminent physical harm.

Wilson made his initial appearance September 25 by video.

Judge Matthew Fox appointed attorney Thomas J. Lucente Jr. to represent Wilson after finding him indigent.

Bond was set at $150,000 subject to 10 percent.

If released, Wilson would be prohibited from consuming alcohol or drugs, would be subject to random testing and would be barred from having direct or indirect contact with either alleged victim.

Wilson is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Thursday, October 1, at 1 p.m. in Mercer County Common Pleas Court.

At least one filing in the case has been sealed by the court. Its contents are not publicly available, and no conclusions should be drawn from the sealed filing itself.

The charges remain pending, and Wilson is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
