Fort Recovery Council Reviews Utility Projects and Police Equipment Agreement

The Fort Recovery Village Council received updates on several ongoing projects during its October 5 meeting.

Village Administrator Aaron Rengers said council reviewed the status of improvements involving the village’s water and wastewater treatment plants. The projects are currently in the design or Ohio Environmental Protection Agency review process.

Council also received an update on the Ohio Department of Transportation-funded trail project. Rengers said seeding along the project area is expected to take place soon.

Police Chief Jared Laux discussed the possibility of continuing an arrangement allowing the Fort Recovery Police Department to share breath-testing equipment located at the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office.

Council did not approve any ordinances or resolutions during the meeting.

The next Fort Recovery Village Council meeting is scheduled for Monday, October 19.
