Rep. King Releases Statement Following President Trump’s Executive Order to Cut Diesel Costs
COLUMBUS – State Representative Angie King (R-Celina) today released the following statement regarding President Trump’s recent executive order to immediately cut diesel costs by authorizing highway use of tax-free dyed diesel and deferring the federal diesel excise tax through the end of the year.
“After an exciting announcement last week about the Ohio Gas Tax Holiday, I’m very pleased to see that President Trump is also taking action federally to help lower diesel costs for Americans, especially during harvest season for farmers across the country. This could potentially save farmers up to $100 per fill-up. I am actively looking into the details of the executive order and how it will specifically benefit our district. I will communicate any updates as soon as I have more details to share with our hard-working farmers! If you have any questions or concerns regarding this matter, please don’t hesitate to reach out to my office.”
