Coldwater Council receives updates on water tower and street projects
Coldwater Village Council received updates Monday night on several infrastructure projects, including repairs to the village’s east water tower and work along Terrace Avenue.
Village Manager Jason Eyink said the east water tower has been offline for approximately one month while interior repairs are completed. The tower is expected to return to service by the end of this week.
Work is also continuing on Terrace Avenue. Eyink said the northern portion of the project could be paved early next week if weather conditions remain favorable.
Council approved Ordinance 1781 following its first and final reading. The ordinance modifies the side-yard setbacks for lots 1805 and 1806.
The village will open bids October 15 for its 2027 street repair project.
Council also scheduled a transportation committee meeting for October 26 at 7:30 to discuss a parking issue in the village.
Eyink said Coldwater will not take immediate action on proposed regulations involving electric bicycles. Village officials plan to wait and see what action is taken by the State of Ohio before moving forward with any local regulations.
