Grand Lake Mariners name Todd Cole new head coach

CELINA — The Grand Lake Mariners have named Todd Cole as the organization’s new head coach.

Cole brings experience from the collegiate, summer collegiate and professional levels.

He previously coached at Georgia Highlands College and worked with the Utica Blue Sox. Cole also served as manager of the Madisonville Miners.

Before beginning his coaching career, Cole played professionally in the Toronto Blue Jays organization and attended spring training with the Detroit Tigers.

The Mariners said Cole’s experience throughout the collegiate and professional ranks will provide a strong baseball background as he takes over the summer collegiate program.
