An acre-sized artwork on a Clearcreek Township farm is sending a message visible from the sky: “Not for Sale to Data Centers.”
Artist Stan Herd created the display on property belonging to 80-year-old Leslie Nogle. The artwork features a farmer and a cow within an outline of Ohio, along with the message opposing the sale of the land for data center development.
Herd told the Cincinnati Enquirer he initially explored a location in Columbus before being connected with Nogle. The effort became a community project in Clearcreek Township.
The display comes amid growing opposition to data center development, according to the Ohio News Network.
